Virginia Consumer Council

KEMBA is a select employee group for the Virginia Consumer Council.

The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a non-profit organization that educates consumers on the purchase and use of safe, reliable products and services. The ACC also serves as a consumer advocacy organization to champion consumer rights, offer financial literacy workshops, promote environmental stewardship, and foster corporate social responsibility.

The Virginia Consumer Council (VCC) is part of The American Consumer Council. Members of KEMBA Roanoke Federal Credit Union who join the VCC never pay dues as long as they remain a Member of KEMBA Roanoke Federal Credit Union – we pay them for you.

The American Consumer Council was founded in 1987 to ensure vital consumer needs are met and protected. The American Consumer Council does this by:

  1. Educating American consumers about the benefits of various products and services.

  2. Acting as a voice for consumer advocacy and economic wellness in the United States of America.

  3. Taking a business-friendly approach to advocacy, encouraging companies and manufacturers to get it right the first time.

  4. Applying marketplace pressure to ensure companies offer safe, reliable products and services.
